About us
T Alun Jones Ltd is an international haulage, storage, and distribution company based on the Shropshire/Powys border. Founded in 1961, the family company has grown under the guidance of owner Alun Jones and sons, Ian and Nick. The firm now operates a fleet of vehicles from its Welshpool depot, providing services locally, nationally, and throughout Europe. We believe in providing a high-quality, reliable service by ensuring our vehicles and our staff are of the highest caliber.
Our fleet of 27 rigid and articulated vehicles, which mainly includes Scania, Volvo, and Mann, is maintained to a high standard in our purpose-built workshop, so our customers can be assured of safety and reliability on the road. In addition to this, we adhere to a strict replacement policy, so our vehicles are always roadworthy, up to date models.
History
T Alun Jones Ltd is a family company with almost 60 years’ experience in haulage, storage and distribution. Established in 1961, our firm has grown from one lorry to a fleet of 30 lorries. We started off in the Hay & Straw business and have now managed to expand into a large variety of haulage.
Alun & Joyce started the business in October of 1961 from their home at the Belan just outside of Welshpool. They soon outgrew the small yard at the back of the property and moved house to Severn Farm based in Welshpool itself in 1980. Ian & Nick, their sons, began driving as soon as they were able to, hauling mainly potatoes up and down the country. In 1992 they bought the yard we are in today on the Henfaes Lane Industrial Estate in Welshpool. Over the years they have expanded the business to 30 lorries and multiple trailers. They have developed the yard and warehouse facilities and we can now store up to 8,000 pallets on site

Haulage
We are a long-established Welshpool road haulage company, providing storage, transport/haulage and distribution services to customers throughout Powys, Mid Wales and Shropshire, as well as throughout the UK and Europe.
Our fleet of high quality vehicles is maintained in our own, purpose-built workshop, so you can be assured our rigid and articulated vehicles are reliable and up to date. All vehicles are equipped with in-cab mobile phones, to facilitate an efficient two-way communication system between drivers and staff, so we can manage our fleet efficiently and ensure customer needs are met.
We can offer haulage throughout the UK and Europe.

Storage
T Alun Jones Ltd offer storage at our 150,000 square foot warehouse.
We can offer both indoor storage and outdoor storage, and all our warehousing facilities have 24-hour surveillance, so you can be assured of total security when storing your goods. We also offer an out-of-hours call-out service for emergencies. We offer both short-term and long-term storage contracts, and we will work with you to negotiate an arrangement to suit your needs.
Our Welshpool storage warehouse is on the Shropshire/Powys border, and within easy reach of Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Newtown, as well as from over Mid Wales and Shropshire.
